How to Use the Basic Uploader for Gmail

Sometimes when trying to upload items into email messages in Gmail, you may experience problems that result in a failure message. Fortunately, there is an easy workaround to this issue that will let you shoot out that important email with the right attachment in no time.

So if you're struggling with your upload, simply go into your mail settings. You can find this in the upper right hand corner of your browser, in a little gear icon.



In your main settings window, you'll just want to scroll down until you see the "Attachments" section. Go ahead and switch to the basic uploader.



Don't forget to save your setting change at the very bottom of that menu! While this setting makes the attachment interface more "basic" you should be able to get your files into the email.
